My name is John Cottrell, and I am a storyteller who writes and illustrates narratives. I'm a dedicated father residing in Sacramento, California. With over a decade of experience, I've successfully brought various projects to life, catering to a diverse range of clients, both big and small. I'm always eager to take on new creative challenges.
My latest project, "Overshare," is a collection of journal comics that explore themes of mental health, cancer caregiving, and the process of healing from past traumas.
I have contributed to publications by renowned companies such as Dark Horse and Marvel, as well as independently published works like "B-Squad" for my close friends. In addition to this, I've self-published my own pitches for stories like "Grimlaw" and "Dungeon Crawlers." I'm also adept at creating art for various mediums, including stickers, t-shirts, and band posters. You can explore a broader range of these products at my store, DOOMBEAST.
If you're an art director, writer, or publisher seeking a creative collaborator for your project, please feel free to reach out. I'm always excited to explore new artistic opportunities.
